Parents struggling to cope after daughter with Asperger's killed by police

The family of Courtney Topic, the 22 year old woman shot by police in the parking lot of a western Sydney fast food outlet, have said that their daughter’s death has left them “raw” and “struggling to cope”. Courtenay suffered from Asperger's.

Raymond Woody, principal of Freeman Catholic College where Ms Topic had previously been a student, said that their deepest sympathies went out to all who knew Ms Topic, and that their “deepest prayers and sympathies have been extended to the family concerned.

He also said that the they would “continue to monitor the well being of all students and staff in this difficult time.”
