UQ offers free climate change course

The University of Queensland (UQ) is offering a free course to explain the mentality of climate change denial and how to combat it with the reduction of misinformation.

The seven-week program, ‘Making Sense of Climate Change Denial’, was developed by UQ’s Global Change Institute and will be offered from 28 April.

Sir David Attenborough is among several experts who will feature in interviews and lectures.

John Cook, coordinator and climate communication research fellow, said the subject “is not about trying to change the minds of deniers, it’s about inoculating the rest of the population”.
