Two stages with the outdoor area controlled and powered by the Champion Sound System + a special 4ZZZ live broadcast from 2 - 4pm! One Dread are a nine piece multi vocalist reggae band representing for the bayside area of Brisbane. Hailing from all number of different musical backgrounds they produce a synergy that concocts timeless melodies. Together their dreams and goals are to share their love and sound of reggae, be humble and truthful Champion Sound take reggae soundsystem culture to all regions of Queensland with selection from Big A hailing outta Negril, Jamaica. The crew also mentor and engage with communities statewide having a particular focus on youth development F4R AI are a ten piece harmonising reggae band inspired by the sounds and influences of their Polynesian, Maori, Samoan and Tongan backgrounds with five vocalists and five musicians with a large following within these communities. The music shares their personal experiences and flows with energy and rhythm Brisbane foundation reggae sound crew, Rhythm Collision Sound have supported international reggae artists such as Anthony B, Chaka Demus & Pliers, Cecile, Luciano, Ritchie Spice, Bushman, Gyptian, Jah Mason and Tippa Irie. With up to the time selection from Basmati of 4ZZZFM’s reggae dancehall show The Yard alongside MC Cotts Peppler DJ Wade is originally from Seaview Gardens Kingston Jamaica, home of Elephant Man, Bounty Killer and Supercat. He is a DJ/producer with international reggae label Das Vibes (Jamaica/Germany/Australia) as well as involved with running www.dancehallreggae.com.au Originally from Melbourne and now based in Brisbane, Bellyas, with origins stemming from her Sri Lankan family, Jazz other music aficionados has developed her ecstatic mixes of conscious reggae, roots and culture and dancehall deejaying style through guest hosting and programme hostings on community radio and numerous guest club sets. She has also has been a crucial part of the all female soundsystem crew Housewife’s Choice since 2004. Vinyl is her choice The Upsteppers protent mix of dancefloor shaking roots heavy reggae band with backbone representing the signature sound of Brisbane conscious music moving you in positive directions. Their sound is anthemic compelling roots rhythms and messages delivered in big band format without compromise 2EZZY is an ezzy going deejay and international event manager on the rise. Has worked with international reggae artists J Boog, Lukie D and Spawnbreezie and brings the unique pacific island reggae vibes to his sets King Krazy now based in Byron Bay after having spend the last 2 1/2 years in Melbourne becoming an intergral part of it's reggae dancehall scene at club nights such as More Fire, Pressure Drop and Ring The Alarm Conscious Jury are a eigtht piece reggae band creating reggae music that seeks to make an impact on how people choose to live their lives. They aim to breakdown walls and bridge gaps of uncertainty in these times of great challenges and distress Rudekat Sound (Live) is a reggae band and deejay combo reproducing modern interpretations of classic reggae riddims and is the live arm of Rudekat Records lead by label boss Quinzalez and fronted by the inimitable and irrepressible Sunny Dread Samedi Soundsystem crew with producer Vir Asan, MC Potato Master and selecta Baron One Way mash up the sounds of Jamaican reggae, dub and dancehall rhythms with damn near everything and work their way through the sounds of bass culture in a true dubwize sense Al Pacino, after having just spent the last year based in Europe deejaying with the Rudeboy Riddim Soundsystem, including regular sets in Hamburg and Berlin in Germany and Prague in the Czech Republic returns to Brisbane and now based with local crew, Boss Sounds. Running original rudeboy scorchers, soulful rocksteady, risqué reggae, slackness, rare European ska from the Two Tone era, moonstomping skinhead reggae and the freshest ska sounds from all around the globe in a strictly vinyl stylee One of Brisbane’s pre eminent drum‘n’bass/jungle deejays and co founder of seminal monthy event RuDe BwOyZ, Erther crosses over into the realm of reggae and dub bringing his skills and vibes with him and putting on a new perspective to the music Zimbabwean DJ/theatre producer/dance choreographer, Ras George, a massive identity within the African community in Brisbane adds his own unique reggae afro dancehall style. He is also the force behind Ghetto Fire Radio Swede Tooth straight outta Sundsvall, Sweden, drives a post van by day and researches all ting reggae by night. His selections run from the sweet sounds of rocksteady through roots reggae to early 80’s dancehall. Selection is strictly ina vinyl style and fashion Comrade Dubs recently finishing 3rd in the National Campus DJ competition is a passionate reggae and dancehall selector known for his tight sets of classic tunes mixed with up to the time Jamaican releases.
