After returning home from his most recent travels, Stephen Page (Queensland Law Practitioner) sits down with the Queer Radio team to discuss leglislation and rights of our community in Queensland, discussing a Human Rights Act and Queensland petitions supporting the Safe Schools Program.
A HUMAN RIGHTS ACT FOR QUEENSLAND
Australia is the only liberal democracy without national human rights protection. The ACT and Victoria have had their rights protected by legislation since 2004 and 2008 respectively.
The Qld government is now giving you a chance to have your say on what rights you would like protected and whether the state needs a Human Rights Act.
Submissions are due by 4pm, Monday April 18
