A lot of old-fashioned psych, stoner, metal and other heavy type sounds have been reasserting themselves in LA recently. Holy Grail certainly fit that trend, worshipping quite obviously at the altar of Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden. Still, without needing to take it to Dragonforce levels of ridiculous uber-virtuosity (and it is the more tasteful for it), Holy Grail are definitely a rocket-powered upgrade on the original model. Modern power, reverence for tradition, this is a glorious addition to the metal pantheon.
