Aptly named, the only word to describe this group is smokin’.

Like the smouldering heat from a well-tended fire, the eclectic rock punk outfit known as Smoking Martha has the intensity to scorch your best shirt but the discretion to spare your eyebrows.

Born of sultry songstress Tasha D and guitarist Mick Broome's combined love of raw rock n roll and passionate music, Smoking Martha united with the help of like-minded Brisbane & Gold Coast musos that have complemented their energetic electric rock style.

Since forming mid 2012 the band has played shows in iconic Melbourne venues The Cherry Bar, Vineyard & the Barwon Club, Brisbane’s HiFi Bar & Gold Coasts Hard Rock Cafe. They were invited to play the West End Boundary St Bloc Party and headlined the Mollison St stage, and have supported veteran US act Everclear.

Smoking Martha’s shows are an opportunity for punters to get up close and personal with the group’s raw, inimitable style live – an experience that’s definitely not to be missed.
