Cruises are idealised as relaxing, enjoyable, and an isolated getaway, but for Bridie Heron, a Brisbane professional dancer, isolation, has been taken to the extreme. Stuck on board an international cruise line, Bridie and her fellow Australian crew are trying to get home.

But with Australia’s recent funding cuts to the Arts department, and many artists missing out on the JobKeeper package, is Australia the best place to be as a performer?
