Eleanor in the Graveyard
Eleanor
Wednesday
2:00 AM - 6:00 AM
At this time of morning rhyme and reason is one of the last things on people's minds. Being a 'people', the music I choose is much the same. I might play indie-rock-synth-fusion-remix-trance-rave track to wake you up, or I might play a twee girl with a ukelele and one of those lambda floral-headbands to send you right back to sleep. I might pick the album with the prettiest cover art, or if I overhear you talking loudly about an artist on the bus don't be surprised if I play it that night. There is no knowing what I'll do and that's what makes it so incredibly fun in the graveyard. She's lost control. (Joy Division references: 1)

Recorded, mixed and produced in Brisbane during the floods, mastered in Paris and Brisvegas.
A local band, do things like play shows on tennis courts because they are generally awesome. Instrumentally awesome. Which is the best kind of awesome, really.
This video is not for this specific track, but is off the same album, and thus, awesome.
No official video for this Australian band's track, but here's them being all live and stuff.
Obviously Joy Division aren't a new band, but I got this track off a new album, Total - From Joy Division to New Order. It's the greatest, because those two bands pretty much created music. If you haven't listened to these bands before, do it before you do anything else.
Again, no official video for Mermaids, but here's a youtube of their track Hiccups, another of their new ones. If you get the chance to see these guys live GO SEE THEM.
Off Fly Girls! B-Boys Beware, Revenge of the Super Female Rappers, a fantastic mix of female hip hop, rap and soul. It's seriously a brilliant compilation, and a serious favourite of 4zzz.
Sweet Dreams is off The Grates new album Secret Rituals. Their latest single is Turn Me On, which you'll see on the magical video machine box below. The video, if you were wondering, is brilliant.
