Showtime! explores various characters, aspects feelings and roles within the Showtime experience. Circus performers, burlesque dancers and rock stars all find pride of place within this exhibition.

Showtime! Is a  beautifully colourful exhibition with works being presented on various mediums (wood surfaces, board, canvas), Ely gives us pieces that include song lyrics Iggy Pop's "Endless Sea"  to words of wisdom about putting a tour together or making music on a shoestring budget. These surreal comic book like characters give us an insight into not only Ely's mind but allows our own imagination to run free within the Showtime theme. Plus there is a wonderful feel good energy that exists throughout the whole exhibition.

Ben Ely is no stranger to the art world having not only made his mark as a musician but has had multiple exhibitions over the years including previous exhibits at Brisbane Powerhouse and Lust For Life in the Fortitude Valley. Showtime! encompasses his further growth and development as an artist and that his ideas are far from stagnating.
