QM Lego Jurassic Park

Jurassic World Dinosaurs made from LEGO® by Brickman®

Level 3, Queensland Museum, Brisbane.

8th December 2023 to 14 July 2024.

Dr Gemma Regan

Dinosaurs and LEGO, the ultimate exhibition!

If like me, you have always loved building with Lego and are awed by dinosaurs this is the MUST SEE exhibition on now at The Queensland Museum and a brilliant school holiday outing for all of the family.

Now you can see your favourite dinosaurs from the 2015 movie Jurassic World recreated in LEGO® to explore how 6 million LEGO® bricks have brought the dinosaurs back from extinction.

The exhibition has taken two years to design and 10,000 build hours to create the largest LEGO®  exhibition in Australia!

Ryan ‘Brickman' McNaught, the star judge of the hit TV show LEGO® Masters Australia, is one of the few LEGO® Certified Professionals in the World and the ONLY one in the Southern Hemisphere who can recreate these incredible adventures out of LEGO®.

You too can now enter the iconic 4-metre-tall Jurassic World gates to visit the island filled with LEGO® dinosaurs. There is a baby dinosaur enclosure with a life-size Mummy LEGO® brick Brachiosaurus weighing over 1.8 tonnes. Overhead is a flock of Pteranodons, but beware of the escaped Velociraptors Blue and Delta. You can even drive in the Jeep whilst an enormous Tyrannosaurus rex chases you from behind!

Meet the lesser known Sinoceratops and Stygimoch dinosaurs and see how cute the baby Ankylosaurus and Stegosaurus look made with DUPLO bricks.

See how the LEGO® dinosaurs were created at the Jurassic World lab, where the dinosaurs are genetically engineered from parts found in amber and learn how to track dinosaurs through their unique footprints.

If that is not enough, this is also a hands-on exhibition with 2.5 extra million LEGO® bricks to play with to be a budding Palaeontologist or Brickman. You can design new dinosaur enclosures on the Isla Nublar, or perhaps you want to create a new hybrid dinosaur in the palaeontology mosaic lab. You can even build a better LEGO® Jeep to escape the T. rex and test it or race again others on a special test track.

There is also a gift shop where you can buy LEGO® kits and dinosaurs starting from only $2.50, so save your pocket money to start building at home.

This is THE BEST interactive LEGO® exhibition you could ever wish to be a part of so book online now https://www.museum.qld.gov.au/south-bank/whats-on/jurassic-world-by-brickman for the LEGO® Jurassic Adventure of a lifetime.
